6th Annual Geneva Interfaith Dialogue – The Role of Faith During the Coronavirus Pandemic – Wednesday 24th February 2021, Online Webinar

On the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Permanent Mission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan organized the 6th Annual Geneva Interfaith Dialogue entitled “The Role of Faith During the Coronavirus Pandemic”. This event was co-sponsored by the Permanent Missions of Azerbaïdjan, Tunisia, the Holy See, the Sovereign Order of Malta, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations Christian Association (UNCA) and Ecuador. Representatives of different religions and faiths shared their thoughts on the need for interfaith dialogue as a means of peace, reconciliation and harmony at a time when the world confronts the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Participants highlighted the main theme of “The role of Faith During the Coronavirus Pandemic” and focused on the principles and values of solidarity, inclusiveness and tolerance, as well as discussed faith-based good practices and their implementation, as a pathway to the future, while trying to rebuild a better world.
