During this year’s Geneva Peace Week which took place from 2 to 6 November 2020, the Permanent Mission of the Order of Malta organized an online live session on “the role of religious and faith-based organizations in peacebuilding”.<\/p>\n
The panel aimed at giving concrete examples of the role of religions and FBOs, as part of civil society, to reaffirm universal values protecting human life and dignity, to promote the actual respect of fundamental human rights such as education, food, health and shelter, therefore, preventing conflicts and facilitating the search for peaceful solutions. It is a role that role can be played at different levels, in different modes, through global public appeals, and\/or local discrete approaches.<\/p>\n
The session was moderated by H.E. Ambassador Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Pictet-Althann.
