On 9 July 2026, UNOG held an Executive Brief with Ms. Anda Filip, newly elected Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

Mr. Yannick Galeazzi, First Secretary delivered an statement congratulating Ms. Filip on her election and paying tribute to her predecessor Martin Chungong, while recalling the Order of Malta’s Permanent Observer status at the IPU obtained in 2021 and its longstanding cooperation on interfaith and intercultural dialogue, including the Parliamentary Interfaith Conferences in Marrakesh and Rome. It expressed hope to continue this cooperation under her leadership.
