On 7 March, an interactive dialogue was held with the special rapporteur on adequate housing as a component of the right to an adequate standard of living, and on the right to non- discrimination in this context. The special rapporteur discussed the situation in Gaza and Ukraine, as well as the barriers faced by migrants in accessing adequate housing. He also discussed his country visit to Uzbekistan.
Ms. Silvia Vandi, first secretary at the mission of the Order, made an intervention during the debate, in which she highlighted the Order’s support for the recommendations of the special rapporteur and the need for humanitarian organisations to cooperate with governments to ensure non-discrimination against migrants in housing policy.
