On 19th June 2025,  Mrs. Silvia Vandi, First Secretary, intervened on behalf of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on Health. During her statement, she highlighted health workers as human rights defenders and called for their protection. She outlined the Order’s activities in both Ukraine and the Middle East through Malteser International, but expressed deep concern regarding the increase in attacks on humanitarian workers and infrastructure. The First Secretary concluded by calling on all parties to respect and uphold International Humanitarian Law.
