On 20th June 2025, Mr Hervé Arot, Main Representative of the Sovereign Order of Malta’s Leprosy CIOMAL Foundation, intervened on behalf of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on Leprosy (Hansen’s Disease). In his statement, he reiterated the need to establish sustainable funding with greater donor collaboration to continue the fight against Leprosy (Hansen’s Disease). Furthermore, Mr Arot called for the conception of innovative reporting mechanisms to strengthen international cooperation.
