On 3rd July 2025, Mr. Yannick Galeazzi, First Secretary, intervened on behalf of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights situation in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967. During his statement, he expressed deep concern regarding the grave violations of International and Human Rights Law in the OPTs. Mr. Galeazzi outlined how the local population in the West Bank have been greatly impacted by settler violence, forced displacement, and movement restrictions, among other things. To conclude, he reiterated the call for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, release of all hostages, and full humanitarian access.
