On 4 December 2024, OCHA launched the Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO) for 2025. Members of the Mission were present at the launch.

With an estimated 305.1 million people that will require humanitarian assistance in 2025, OCHA aims to target 189.5 million people with a budget of 47.7 billion USD. Unprecedented needs and man-made risks worsen the situation. The under-secretary for humanitarian affairs called to end impunity and to strengthen more sustainable humanitarian responses.
