Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, Permanent Observer and diplomats of the Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva

Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, Permanent Observer and diplomats of the Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva

This visit was an opportunity for President Sehnaoui to meet with Ambassadors (Jordan and Lebanon) and representatives of UN Agencies (WHO, OCHA, UNHCR) to provide a comprehensive overview of the activities and projects of the Order of Malta in Lebanon – which are focused on 3 pillars: healthcare, social care and agro-humanitarian – and find ways to strengthen and create new partnerships with Geneva-based UN Agencies.

The Delgation met with:

• H.E. Ambassador Akram Harahsheh, Permanent Representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the UN in Geneva 🇯🇴

• H.E. Ambassador Salim Baddoura, Permanent Representative of the Lebanese Republic to the UN in Geneva 🇱🇧

• Dr. Mike Ryan, Deputy Director General of the World Health Organization and Executive Director for Emergency Operations.

• Mr. Raouf Mazou, Assistant High Commissioner for Operations at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

• Mr. Florent Méhaule, Humanitarian Affairs Officer at United Nations OCHA.
