The Permanent Observer Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta sponsors Piano Concert for Peace performed by Nikolay Khozyainov, Palais des Nations, 22nd November 2022

The concert was hosted by Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, Director General of the United Nations Office at Geneva. It was initiated by the president of the association  ‘Musica Pro Pace’, Dr. Bozena Schmid- Adamczyk.

Maestro Nikolay Khozyainov is a remarkable pianist and composer. His recital and concerto engagements included sold-out performances on all continents at the world’s foremost stages. He has received several prizes and recorded works of Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, Ravel and Schubert.

In her welcoming remarks, H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann emphasized the Sovereign Order of Malta’s engagement in promoting peace, human rights and international humanitarian law. In its global humanitarian outreach, it cooperates with the United Nations and its agencies.

This was indeed an exceptional evening, attended by an international public that included numerous personalities from the diplomatic community, as well as United Nations Officials.
