On the occasion of the Swiss National Day, the State Council of the Republic and Canton of Geneva invited heads of International Organizations and Permanent Representatives and Observers to the traditional 1st August celebration. The Sovereign Order of Malta was represented by H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, Permanent Observer to the United Nations in Geneva.
