On 29 April 2026, H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, participated in the event “The Order of Malta’s humanitarian diplomacy – Connecting faith and multiculturalism in advancing the SDGs – Women, faith, leaders, fellowship”, organized by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University.

During her intervention, she emphasized the role of the Order of Malta’s humanitarian diplomacy in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals through healthcare, food security, support for refugees and vulnerable communities, and the promotion of human dignity. She also underlined the importance of multilateral cooperation, interfaith dialogue, and partnerships between international organizations, local actors, and faith-based institutions in addressing global humanitarian challenges and fostering more inclusive and peaceful societies.
