H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann participated as Capitular at the Extraordinary Chapter General of the Sovereign Order of Malta.

The Extraordinary Chapter General of the Sovereign Order of Malta was presided over by H.E. the Lieutenant of the Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap and H. Em. Cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi, Special Delegate of the Holy Father. It was composed of 111 Capitulars.

The Chapter General has the task of safeguarding the Order’s charism and bringing it up to date by acknowledging and addressing the Order’s most important issues. It plans activities, verifies the state of the Order’s assets and guides international relations. The Chapter General concluded on 29th January 2023 and elected the new members of the government of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
