On 26^th February 2024, the Permanent Mission of the State of Palestine to the UN in Geneva organised, in the framework of the 55^th regular session of Human Rights Council (HRC55) a High-Level Ministerial event on the “Human Rights Situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory”,  in presence of the Ministerial Committee mandated by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit.

The event was chaired by H.E. Dr. Riad Al-Malki, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Sate of Palestine.

H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign to the UN in Geneva, intervened during this high-level ministerial event echoing the UN Secretary General’s call for an immediate humanitarian cease-fire and unconditional release of hostages.
