On 15th March 2023 the Sovereign Order of Malta and the University for Peace signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their ongoing cooperation.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Ambassador Marie-Thérèse Pictet-Althann, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, in representation of H.E. Grand Chancellor Ricardo Paternò di Montecupo, and H.E. David Fernandez Puyana, Permanent Observer of the University for Peace to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, in representation of Rector Professor Francisco Rojas.
The ceremony was held at the Palais des Nations in the presence of representatives from the Permanent Observer Missions of the Holy See, World Jewish Congress, Gulf Cooperation Countries, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and International Development Law Organisation.
